Philadelphia experimentalists Palm announce their return with new single 'Feathers' and detail their long awaited third album Nicks And Grazes, due out on Saddle Creek Records on the 14th of October. Since their inception, Palm have been pushing against musical boundaries with their erratic yet melodic sound, from the janky no-wave/math-rock of their debut to the glitched midi-pickup guitar pop of 2018's Rock Island, they have avoided cliche and comparison and honed a truly unique sound. 'Feathers' is a welcome return, described by the band as an "undanceble dance song" the track's thick bass synths combine with Eve Alpert's hypnotic vocals to create a woozy sense of unease, this is underpinned with the band's characteristically complex rhythms and percussive prepared guitar creating a powerful jolting groove.
